THE DETAILS
Jewelry Materials & Care
Choose jewelry using the specific product’s material, finish, weight, and measurements. An editorial photograph or a gold-colored surface alone does not identify the metal.
Color and composition
Gold-tone and silver-tone describe appearance. They do not mean solid gold or sterling silver. If a piece is plated, the product page should identify its base metal and the finish that has actually been confirmed. Precious-metal descriptions need product-specific support.
Everyday care
Follow the instructions for your chosen item. As a general precaution, keep pieces dry, store them separately, and avoid direct contact with perfume, lotions, and household cleaners. Apply cosmetics before putting jewelry on. Use a soft dry cloth; abrasive cleaning can damage some finishes.
Water and sensitive skin
Do not assume a piece is waterproof, nickel-free, or suitable for every allergy. Check the confirmed product-specific information. If you have a known metal allergy, confirm the relevant composition before buying. Stop wearing an item if irritation develops.
